DeadXheaD (initially called Dead Head) was formed in the fall of 2004 in Glazov town. The two monsterminds behind the band were Paul Staine and Serge Chirkoff, solo guitar players from different bands. The creative union was born after getting together and mutual listening to the musical ideas guys had done before. Their likes and passions turned out to be so similar that a decision to start a new project was made immediatly. Due to having a lot of material in reserve Paul and Serge proceeded to recording a demo tape without hiring other musicians that were missing.
The name 'Dead Head' appeared later after the first song 'Gift From Satan's Place' was recorded and then the name was changed to 'DeadXheaD'. The style of the band is melodic thrash heavy metal with progressive elements in vein of Megadeth, Metallica, Rage, Masterplan and others.
